Weird master fader issue
Has anyone experienced this: I have a fade programmed on a master fader at the end of a song but sometimes the level doesn't change. Automation is in read, the fader moves, but the level doesn't change. If I grab the fader with the mouse and move it the level changes. I've tried turning auto read off and back on - no difference. I just restarted PT and no difference. I really don't have a clue. If I rebooted the computer it might be better or it might not. Any body know why this might happen?
Thanks, Seth I'm using PTHD 7.3.1CS2 on a dual 2.5 G5 with 3.5 meg of ram |

Re: Weird master fader issue
Is the master fader in question actually controlling the path which you are monitoring/printing?
IHTH.

Re: Weird master fader issue
Thanks guys,
I'm not sure if it's suspended, I'll take a look. The master is definitely on the audio path I'm listening to, otherwise why would it work when I grab the fader and move it manually? Seth |

Re: Weird master fader issue
The automation is definitely not suspended - If I grab the fader during playback and move it manually the level changes and, when I let go, the fader and the level return to the preset level. I trashed the prefs and the DAE setup and the other stuff. What could do this?
Thanks, Seth |

Re: Weird master fader issue
Is this happening in every session or just this particular one?
If it's just one, it could be session corruption. Either way, you may want to delete that fader and create a new one, which may help. |
