Default iMac G5 1.6Ghz

I want to buy a iMac G5 1.6Ghz. Does this computer works well with ProTools 6.4 and DIGI 002R. I need space in my room and the iMac is the solution but I can't buy the 1.8Ghz because I'm going to use the grant money and I need some money to buy books a all this !@!$%!&#!@!/. Just tell me if the 1.6Ghz will be good. Thanks

Try a search for iMac. There have been several recents threads on people using the G5 iMacs successfully.

They have worked well if you set the performance setting to high. You can save a few dollars by getting a refurb from www.apple.com store in the red tag section. I bought 3 of them this way and saved about 200.00 each. Bought mine for a little over 1k each and they run great without the loud fan issues.
