Haha have to admit I’m still quite confused on what I’m actually getting regarding my pro tools ultimate software. Can anyone from Avid add to this and perhaps explain it in basic terms.

I just found this page so it looks like,,, Yes you get "Reverb One" and "Eleven Free and Eleven MKII" with an active 1 year Ultimate update/support plan, and they would be in the bundled plugins not as separate downloads


Here is the list of bundled plugins from the Avid page ...for PT Regular and Ultimate

Thanks so much. Interesting, I have ultimate with Carbon , but not all of those plugins on the list. I wonder why they weren’t installed or where to download them. I will have a look in my avid link…

My mistake …. I discovered these extra plugins (fairchild, reverb one, etc) in the Avid Complete Bundle in my Avid control.
All set !!

I particularly like the Fairchild comps on guitars (acoustic and electric) In fact they are my default Comp plugin selection..

So do I but I have also really come to like what SMACK! does on a lot of sources.

I already own a perpetual license for MOST of the stuff in Avid complete plug in package, thanks to getting them with the "Producer's Rack" I think it was called years ago with the M-Audio Black Box, and the rest of what I own with the 003 Rack + Factory.

I upgraded from 11 to 11MKII and bought HEAT as soon as it was available for PT Standard.

The "Pro" plug ins, plus SMACK! are mostly what I got access to with complete plugin bundle. I like the multi band compressor too.

Relevant? I dunno. Just my $.02 worth.

I'll have to give Smack a try... for the most part I use my Hardware compressor on my 2 Bus and only do a tiny bit of plugin comp on the guitar tracks, and for my vocals I also use PT channel strip plugin, set to the preset "Male Vocals", with less makeup gain and often move the EQ a bit lower in freq. and level .....

Yes I although tend to use a pair of mic's to record guitar so two mono tracks into a stereo routing folder track so I use the 670 more often than not

like this (ignore the orange arrow , showing a parallel reverb send ) you can see I have a 670 insert on each of the stereo guitar folder tracks (blue with dark charcoal )

Nice. Im using it on my drum bus. And the Cymotic Glue on master bus. That’s it for me. Not a lot of plugins I like the sound of , but these are good.
