Default Tempo change not working

I've set all audio tracks to tick based and elastic audio; rhythmic for drums, polyphonic for keys and guitars and monophonic for bass. I then try to set linear tempo change in the middle of a bar (from 66 to 46 BPM), but the sound is terrible, especially the bass.

Any suggestions?

That's quite a dramatic musical challenge to try to make happen in post. Are you trying to make a sudden ritard at the end of a piece? Do you need this new super-slow tempo to continue for more than say 2-beats?

If you only need this to happen for a short moment you might be better off doing it all manually. Sustained bass notes are particularly handy to extend through editing if you zoom in and match the waveform... Just a thought.

Yes, I'm trying to do a quick ritard just before the last two bars. I will, as you suggested, do it manually. Good tip on the bass notes. Thanks a lot. You saved my day.

Easiest way is: set tracks to elastic audio, set tracks to ticks, and use tempo operations... Much more accurate this way too.
