And.....we get closer to a release. Avid have updated the Virtual Instruments main page and finally released the Pro Tools Instrument Expansion Pack video.
Go to Digidesign.com --> PRODUCTS --> VIRTUAL INSTRUMENTS

They are far from finished but this is a start and hopefully Sweetwaters 'shipping the week of 2/14' holds true.

Russ, I guess this means you can populate the AIR Users Blog with 'Virtual Instrument' content now

Don't like hype then none delivery myself, makes the company look like it cant make up it's mind or like it has problems. For me it's offputting my main reason of getting protools was to get my head into it, and I can tell you I'm not entirley sold on ith having gone through 2 machines to get it to work.

I wonder where this DAW will be in 5 years, hopefully a world leader? But indecisiveness does not instill confidence, and does not help with converting people who are much more proficient on other DAWs despite protools strong points.

I do feel for the suffering power users, they do sound like a great bunch of people.

Ha; did you catch this part?

http://www.digidesign.com/index.cfm?...08&langid=100&

While the Pro Tools Instrument Expansion Pack offers the absolute greatest value, you can purchase these virtual instruments individually, though if you’re considering just two, know that you can get all five instruments for about the same price — or less — with this pack.

I think upgrade pricing was shot dead by avid!!!!!!!!!! Ka-boom!!!!

Strike and Structure updates look tight. Nice videos too, Russ... Great job as always.

Looks like I'll be making-do with what I have for a while, though. I just threw down $895 for a VI box set about 18 months ago Shenanigans.
