2023.12 update frequent CPU overload errors

^^^^ Exemplary and well put. I can respect everyone else as well.
I'm just gonna conduct myself as a lesser one and toss my 2 cents in:

I'm still on Windows 10 and 2023.12 is running smoothly on my modest & outdated i5 machine.
Have been running my largest session with a fair amount of plug-ins and a 512 playback buffer.
As a test, I switched the SSL bus compressor plug-in to 4x oversampling mode with no glitches or issues so far.

I'm here to tell everyone NOT to download this update! I'm running a Mac Studio M1 Max with a Lynx Aurora n on Mac OS Ventura, and I'm continually get errors with a number of different plugins. First it was any of the Cableguys plugins (Shaperbox, Kickstart 2)...after disabling them, now it's KONTAKT 7. Super frustrating if you're trying to get work done. DO NOT UPDATE IF YOU ARE A WORKING ENGINEER/PRODUCER!!!!

Honestly Darryl, your aggressive policing of how people ask questions on this forum becomes as tiring as new users asking questions that they might have searched for themselves.

To be clear I do share your frustration, and I don't disagree with the fact that they would get a better solution if they provided the information you desire but your replies do seem very much like an attack.

I gave up and uninstalled pt and installed the 2023.9 version.
I hope it will solve the problem..

Hi,
I'm not experiencing any CPU overloads myself. In the past these problems have often been caused by plug-ins so you might start your troubleshooting process by making sure that every plug-in in your plug-in folder is the most recent version. Hope this helps!

I agree that there's a little too much aggressive forum police going on which comes off as needlessly hostile, but there's no doubt that providing basic info at the outset for any issue helps.

I don't know I suppose one man's "aggressive policing" is another's "straight forward with direct no nonsense observations "

Usually any perceived aggressiveness is not simply out of the blue, and usually does entail some level provocation, intentional or not,,, juss sayin'

And for the OP's info since say PT version 2022-2023.6 my only CPU errors involved one specific Plugin -- the Nugen Master Check, and is almost always a matter of me forgetting to turn up the buffer setting when mixing

What version of Kontakt are you using?

Please everyone..... I am not going to point fingers here but this bickering needs to stop.

The duc is a forum created for users by users and is "The Place" to learn, get educated, teach others and bounce off problems. It is NOT a place to bicker and pick at others who may or may not post like you do.

Everyone on here should always have their current system specifications listed when posting an issue or asking for help.....

Everyone should also search to see if the issue has already been bantered about or resolved before posting......

Let's keep this place the great community that it is and embrace the intentions of it....
