Finally possible to properly genlock rig with internal renderer?
Hi,
so when using the internal renderer is it now finally possible to really genlock the system (to video ref) unlike the setup with the external renderer on the same machine? Or is it just an "under-the-hood" external renderer still using some sort of "hidden" core audio connection what won't lock to Sync HD? Thanks! Frank.

+1 I'd like to know this too. The Aux IO workflow was really wonky with sync for me.

Re: Finally possible to properly genlock rig with internal renderer?
The external renderer could always be gen locked with TC directly from Sync HD, Sync X, or Pro Tools with the Dolby TC Gen plug-in if/when recording into the Renderer.
The internal renderer is locked to the same sync that Pro Tools is locked to. Besides. You’re not recording into the Internal Renderer so what exactly is it that you’re worrying about here? |
