Default 8.0.1

I just installed 8.0.1. There was an uninstall utility included in the package.

The on-screen instructions did not say to un-install, so I didn't.

I un-plugged the DIDI 002 when told to do so etc. etc.

After the re-boot, when I try to start PT the system freezes when it tries to install "Hybrid".

Any ideas?

Thanx!

Hybrid??? Hmmm, makes you kinda wonder.

Can you install 8.0cs3 then do the update?

Hybrid eh?

THanx for the reply. This is from the "details of update" page .... ****
  • This update requires previous installation of either Pro Tools LE 8.0 software (no CS update) or the Pro Tools LE 8.0cs3 release:
    • It is not necessary to update to Pro Tools LE 8.0cs3 prior to using the 8.0.1 update if you have not already installed the 8.0cs1 or cs2 update
    • If you are currently using Pro Tools LE 8.0cs1 or 8.0cs2, you should update to 8.0cs3 before running the Pro Tools 8.0.1 update: Pro Tools CS Updates
****

Also, how do I "roll back"?

Why would you 8.0.1 primarily addresses the play/pause issue on windows, amongst others. Reinstall Hybrid and update the PACE Driver if it isn't current.

Hmmmm...just my own two cents' worth...trying to install 8.0.1 WITHOUT cs2 resulted in it hanging on the "deleting old hardware drivers" page. Then I had to uninstall-reinstall 8.0, install cs2 (cs3 gave me fits too) then update to 8.0.1. And that worked perfectly.

I just searched among the CDs/DVDs and didn't see hybrid. Is it part of the PT Install CD? If so, how do I do an "selective" install.

No it's not unless you are running a toolkit.

So, if I'm not running a toolkit, where do I find it? I'm not clear on that.

Well shouldn't your DigiStore account hold the download links. From where did you get the Hybrid asset?
