Default Someone who has a smoot setup

I am "still" getting problems with what appears to be a extension conflict.
My system indicator is going crazy and can stop playback saying that cpu running out of power, I have this with only 1 track.
Can someone give me a guide of thier extensions as I am new, new, new to mac and need help especially seting up a protools/digi extension set..
Thankyou

Just select the "OS 9.x Base" set, and then duplicate that, then add the stuff for protools.

That's all you should need and should get you started.

Paul.

aJazzie,

was there anything in your start up folder?
You didn't respond to your previous post!

selecting the "base" extension set sould help then duplicate it and enable anything that says digi. this should help determine if it's an extension.

My system runs smooth, and I've modified it extensivly, ie accelerator, scsi, added drives etc. So it's not Ptools, your problem points to a system related problem or hardware.

hope this helps, Blade

Sorry , I did check the statrup and it appears to be empty. When ptools is running , ptools is the only thing along with dae in the about screen, nothing elseappears to be going.
I made a new extension set(from the base) and selected the digi components, I am still having the same issues.
Whats next? Do I start from scratch?

wow,

I thought for sure there would be another app running.

All I can tell you is the ptools software and hardware WORK...so I personally would back up, boot from your CD, and reinstall...clean install...and then install Ptools, make sure the 001 card is installed properly ie.pushed in as well.

Don't install anything more and check to see if your still having the same problem. If you are, you may have a defective machine.

sorry...
