Default Using a subwoofer with X-mon in surround AND stereo

Hey fullas!
Planning to get my X-mon system with my D-command working to it's full capabilities. After re-reading the manual and searching the net I can't come across any information about this....

I want to use the "main inputs" and "main speaker outputs" of X-mon with a 5.1 surround setup, with it also being capable of stereo without a hitch.
My trouble is that 90% of my work is in stereo, but if I have my sub receiving it's signal from the X-mon "main speaker output 8 (LFE)" as advised in the manual, how the heck can I utilise the sub with my stereo mixes?

My previous setup was running the stereo outs into the sub and then the hi-pass outs from the sub to the main stereo monitors and for the rare 5.1 mix, I'd change the cabling.

Thanks!

You would need a bass management system.

That will still be the case .... Sub for 5.1 or any multi format setup is a dedicated signal. In the case of stereo it is not. Hence the need for a dedicated physical connection for mutiformat as well.

Bring it all onto a patch and connect from change wiring when needed could make things easier ?
