Original Mbox -> Mbox2 upgrade?

Hi! I've been using the original Mbox + Pro Tools LE 8 for way too long. Because of that, I'm still on OS 10.5.8.

My question is this: if I buy a second hand Mbox2, will I still be able to use my version of Pro Tools 8? Or will I need to also buy a new version of Pro Tools software? In other words, is my copy of Pro Tools 8 tied into my original Mbox hardware device?

You can still use your existing PT8 software with the Mbox 2. Just plug in the Mbox 2 and you're ready to go.

Followup: if I - instead - bought a used Mbox3 mini, would I be able to plug that into my MacBook Pro and use my currently installed version of Pro Tools 8? I have 8.0.1 right now, and I understand I'd need to upgrade to 8.0.3. But after that, 8.0.3 should just work with an Mbox3 mini, too? Or am I limited to an Mbox 2?

yes 8 is good with the mini3 as well.

Thanks! Strangely enough, ProTools 8.0.1 is running fairly-useably with my original Mbox, and I just upgraded to OS 10.6.8 today. I was thinking that ProTools would refuse to run.
