Input problem on fast track usb

I have the pro tools m-powered software and m-audio fast track usb but i cant seem to get the mic input on the fast track to communicate with the pro tools. The jack input works fine but the mic input doesnt even show up in the I/0 dialog box. All it lets me use is 1/2 stereo or 1 and 2 mono and thats the jack input. If someone has figured this out please tell me how. Thanks.
