transfer/convert files
I was given an ultra ata harddrive that supposedly contained a PT hd session of a live concert. My plan was to transfer this session to a firewire drive via a g4(ata drives) .. then go to work on the session. Turns out that the "HD" designation on the drive meant Alesis HD 24 files, which I know are proprietary files. I have done this once before using Fireport, but the drive was in the alesis hd case/body. This one is just a "naked" drive. Today I neither have an hd24 or the fireport. any ideas would be appreciated. Anyone out there have the technology to make this happen easily? thanks, sb |

Re: transfer/convert files
Might snapper (from audioease) do it? It says it opens 50 different audio file types.
There's a fully functional 100 day free trial as well |

Re: transfer/convert files
ADAT FST is a proprietary protocol. You're out of luck unless you can get your hands on an HD24 or a caddy and fireport.
