Default Pro Tools Error Message

Everytime my Pro-Tools M-Powered trys to back itself up, or open a session, or pretty much any command, i get this:

Could not complete the Open Recent Session 2(or whatever the command is) command because Neo Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/vb_cliff/AlturaPorts/SDKs/Neo61/Libraries/Macintosh/Environments/Alone/../../../../Source/CNeolnode.cpp," line 1242.

Does anyone know how to fix this, or even what this means?

Hi,

Known problem, do a search for "neo" etc and you will find the answer on this forum.

I get the same error message quite a bit myself. It seems to occur after repeatedly bouncing to disk while replacing an existing file with the same name. After quite a bit of research, I found that by just moving the ending just a little left or right before 'bouncing to disk" again seems to be a work around.

Please start with the steps in the OS X Setup and General Troubleshooting sticky at the top of this forum, specifically those areas on trashing preference and database files.
