10.0.1 Channel Comments Bug - Anyone else?
I'm just curious to if anyone else has this issue. When entering channel/track comments using the input field below the "track", as opposed to double clicking clicking the track name, the characters become corrupted or completely invisible. I haven't had the time to try it on my Lion system yet but I took a quick video (see link) to elaborate upon what I mean. I can say though that this didn't happen in 9 nor before the 10.0.1 update on this same system. This is under Mac OSX 10.6.8 Snow Leopard.
See the issue By the way, I searched but couldn't find a related topic. |

I had this same issue in a 10.1.1 session.

So, only in an isolated session? I'm seeing this crop up eventually in every session unless I use the pop-up Rename window instead.

I didn't have time to investigate, and use channel comment very rarely.
But it also happens in this next session i'm working on now - from the same template. Will check out later.

Annoying typing in comments bug..
I have had this problem with every release of vs 10.
The first time I type in the comments window of a track it is fine. The second and ensuing times, when I type the characters are tiny dots and it is illegible to read. After you hit enter you can see what you have typed, but when you type many words, or you want to edit what you have typed it is a real pain. Has anyone seen this problem? This is on a set up with a new Mac Pro, Pro Tools 10.2 and OSX Lion (latest)

Re: 10.0.1 Channel Comments Bug - Anyone else?
Yep I got it too!
Odd behavior 1) First comment in edit window fine. All subsequent just garble characters. When go to edit can't tell whats happening 2) In Mixer window, typing into any empty comment is fine but editing any comment and all text disappears so you have no idea what your editing. When done whatever text is left will once again display. I haven't used this feature much and will use less now.......

PT 10.2 on 10.6.8 here and it's working fine. Any other details that might help us narrow it down?
