Application Launch failure
I've just arrived at my studio and plumbed up my 17" PB 1.33 and tried to launch PT and I get an error message saying The application Pro Tools could not be launched because of a shared library error: -<Pro Tools PPC dbg><Pro ToolsPPC dbg><DAE><>
I haven't changed anything since I was last mixing without any problems. I've rebooted, fixed permissions, run an fsck but no luck. Any ideas please? Cheers, Glynn. |

Re: Application Launch failure
Having received no replies I got on to Tech support and it seems they have had this problem a couple of times. The only recourse is to uninstall and then reinstall. The support tech gave me a URL for an uninstaller rather than use the install cd. The URL is: http://download.digidesign.com/support/pt61remove.hqx
Then re install from the cd and upgrade to 6.1.2 You'll be pleased to know that everything is now running fine. |
