Default Only - Nine Inch Nails Remix - First Thing w/ Pro Tools

Hi there,

I am pretty new to remixing and this is my first proper attempt at it. It doesn't really change the style of the song too much, I just changed a few things, added some effects and a new few guitar and bass parts.

Any input at all would be greatly appreciated. I've only just got Pro Tools so I wasn't so sure what I was doing. I also couldn't figure out how to record guitar through the mbox on direct input so instead I recorded the parts on a digital recorder and imported them in as WAV files.

Any Input Would Be Greatly Appreciated!

You might want to post in the "Let's hear your latest stuff" thread located at the top of this section for better response.

I did listen to it. Interesting and well done. But (and this is toward remix in general, not just you) why not write your own piece instead of "using" (some would say stealing) someone else's creative work to achieve your result? You seem talented enough.

Considering Nine Inch Nails released the multitracks publicly, it's hardly stealing. anyone can download them and make their own remix: http://www.ninremixes.com/multitracks.php

Any other multitracks out there from other artist, or whole Pro Tools session files? I'd love to get my hands on that for practicing.

Brian Eno and David Byrne (2 songs)

World Music (various)

Some tracks have slight bleed from one track to another.
Some tracks don't seem to SPOT properly at the correct times, when imported into Pro Tools.

Some songs are in .mogg format. You can use Audacity (free) to export them to separate tracks.:

Here are some details about MOGG files:

Hope this helps.
