So placing any plug across the mix or even placing plugs on each track won't do what heat does.

What is the difference put phoenix plugin on every track vs. heat? You can set up phoenix parameter individually for each track.

Is it permitted to cross-post to other forums? Here are some comparison files I put up as Gearslutz.

I've been using it for nearly 3 weeks now and it's made me hold on to my TDM rig! I picked up HD2 last August for a bargain price, and then with PT9 released I was considering the move to a native solution given that I only ever track 1 or 2 inputs at a time.

However, HEAT has messed up that plan. I have been using the SSL Bus Compresser as my mix glue for years, but using HEAT I can't use the SSL - it seems to take away the rich velvet and sparkle that HEAT adds to the mix.

My mastering engineer even had it engaged (albeit very subtly) on a recent 2 channel mastering session we did. I can only describe it as adding 'life' to a mix. I'm all for the 'switch it on and it sounds better' ethos. SPL Vitalizer was the last product I got that did that for me.

If only it were a bit cheaper in europe

it looks like a plugin on each channel.
which is fine to me, but it wold be soooo much better to be able to change it on each channel.

I am using this for a mastering session now, so the disadvantage is clear.
The solution is automating the main heat control so I can still alter the settings for each track oh no wait this can't be done either.

I DONT UNDERSTAND why these audiopeople keep thinking like it's 1960.
duh, we are doing analog emulation, so we though automation or track by track adjustments couldn't be done on analog so let's leave it out.

clearly it was not meant for the way I use it, but that does not mean I don't want to, or any one else for that matter.

the reason why I am so mad, is that the thing sounds AMAZING!!! otherwise I would not have posted this,... so please DIGI listen to me and take your timemachine from 1960 to 2011 thanks,

Mark

P.S a level trim would be nice to have to, so it's easier to compare a track to the non-heat version

I downloaded the demo and have Heat on all the tracks but not the master control. Why would that be?

Down the bottom right hand side of the mix window you have to click the arrow to reveal the HEAT master controls.
