Student Version License Question
My son bought a student version of Pro Tools last year to use in conjunction with an audio recording class in High School. He is now going away to College and needs to leave the desktop pc at home. He has a laptop to take with him to school and wants to install a version on this. We tried, but had to move the Ilok license from his PC to the laptop for it to work. We were under the impression you could have 3 installed versions of pro tools. Is this not the case with a student version?

Are they on a Perpetual license? They can install it on any supported machine. Though 1 license can only be activated on 1 location. They can deactivate this from his desktop, then activate it on the laptop. Just need to make sure that they're running a supported laptop. https://avid.secure.force.com/pkb/ar...m-Requirements Let us know if you have further questions. Stay safe! -Tope |

Re: Student Version License Question
Thanks, yes it is perpetual. Does the non-student version give you more than one login at a time?
