PT loses regions
I am a dialog editor & at the beginning of my projects, I create regions consisting of various lenths of room tone. I am currently running the PTLE 5.1.1, but I have noticed that ever since 5.0, ProTools has been disgarding regions if they are not immediately used in the project. This occurred originally in my PC version, and now it's doing it on my Mac. To get around this, what I've been doing is placing these particular regions on an empty muted track. Sometimes I forget to do this and several will vanish. Is this a design flaw or is there a Preferences setting I missed?
