Licence Transfer Time

Hi,

I'm going to buy one or more Ultimate perpetual licences from a seller. We initiate the transfer protocol, how long does it take generally to have the transfer done ?

This part seems the less easier, and since Protools Ultimate, the licence isn't necessarily attached to hardware, the procedure should be simplier.

I bought a PT standard license a couple of years ago from a private owner here in Norway, and he did most of the formal stuff w/Avid. It involved me providing an image of my passport. The process took about one month. I got the impression that they only processed this on workdays during office hours.

I'm not saying this is what you should expect, but just offering my experience, and saying what you perhaps should prepare for.

I was prepared for a one month schedule as my seller told me also about one month to wait.

But things seems to have changed. We have sent this morning the transfer's note pdf, and this afternoon, the licence had been transferred !

I had mine competed in a day or two after submitting but the agent who did the transfer forgot to put the license into his ilok. so now the buyer has a licence to a product showing in his avid link that he cant register because its connected to my ilok. I also cant transfer the product even though i see it sitting in my ilok account. wtf avid?

Hi! Did you guys process a transfer of ownership through our support page? If you can provide me a case number I can check and make a follow up.
