Angry Pro Tools 9 crashes while loading

Hi.

I own a Digi 003 running on Pro Tools 9.0.6. I work on a Intel Mac OS 10.7.4 (Lion) I have worked on that OS for two months, but two weeks ago my Pro Tools crashes unexpectedly if I quit it and try to work again whit it. I use the same version on a Mac Book Air and the same iLok, having the same problem. I have uninstalled/installed Pro Tools, the problem solved for a while but I have it again in both computers.

The title of your post is "crashing while loading" I'm pretty sure you should be able to see the splash screen at where it stops right before crashes.....

Do you have your OSX install disc? I would uninstall PT (make sure all folders are removed by either going into your user "library" and making sure all digidesign/avid folders are gone, or search for Digidesign, then Avid, then Pro Tools to ensure your completely clean (there are programs that will do this aswell) I would back up your computer and reinstall your OSX... not fresh just have it install over existing OSX so you still have all your files/folders (except PT of course). Then reinstall PT. On start up of protools make sure it sees the 003 and the link light comes on. If it doesn't connect to 003 I would try to update the firmware in the 003 to ensure it didnt become corrupt (search the forum/web you will find directions how-note if you do it takes a while and that is normal). The fresh install will/should get rid of the corrupt filing issues so PT can operate normally.

I have had to do this on a few AC based systems. One was so corrupt I had to do a clean OSX install and reinstall all the software I had on it.

Just remember to BACKUP before anything is done and youll be fine.
