ProTools SE has disabled MacBook headphone jack?
Hello,
I am unable to get sound out of my MacBook Pro headphone jack since installing ProTools SE & drivers. My Mac tech support person verified that this is a software problem, not Mac hardware problem, as the Mac headphone jack works fine when run off an external drive. The MacBook speakers work fine. It's a nuisance because it means that I can't listen to my MacBook on headphones or run a line out to external stereo/speakers, the only way I can listen to my Mac is through the tinny external speakers. Luckily with ProTools SE booted up and the M-Audio device plugged in to the Mac USB port, I can also listen to .ptf files when recording or playing back, through the M-Audio line output. But I want my Mac back! Any ideas? Here are my system specs: Model: MacBook Pro 13" OS: MacOS X Lion Version 10.7.4 with UpdCombo 10.7.4.dmg installed CPU: 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5 Processor Memory: 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 M-Audio Products: ProTools SE 8.0.3 + Patch 003.pkg Any advice much appreciated! |
