Scary,

isn't the BBE Sonic Maximizer generally applied to a whole mix? Take you rfinal PT mix into Sound Forge and process it there...?

I doubt PT will ever feel the need to give us directX access. Personally, I like DX plugins, but when they have developped WAVES for RTAS (which are becoming cheaper), I don't see why they would bother with DX.
But hey, if they ever do, cool.

Just a thought...

Hmm. VST/i support would be even better but I suppose there's even less chance of that...

I too would like Direct X plugin compatibility but there's other things I'd rather have so it's all good.

There's a way around it, similar to what pk hat said.

I have DX auto tune and Dx Mic Modeler. I take my vocal track, consolidate it (alt+shift+3) then just open the wav in cool edit and apply what I need, it's similar to Audio Suite...Just make sure you save the file under a diff name first so that you can undo it if you change your mind.

Sure not as easy, but it works fine for me.

I just bought the BBE Sonic Maximizer DirectX plugin. Works GREAT with soundforge. I also wrote the company that makes the plugin. They ARE working on a PT RTAS version that should be available in 3-4 months.
