Recording DAW playback audio in live video recordings.
Hello,
When I'm working with instrumentalists or vocalists, I sometimes will record a live video recording where I'm picture-in-picture coaching them through some of the musical stuff. Sometimes this involves playback through my DAW (usually GarageBand, but sometimes ProTools), but I can't find a way to capture the audio that is coming live through my computer. I can capture the audio if I'm showing them a YouTube video, for example, but any DAW playback is always silent in the video. Does anyone have a system for this that works for them? I'm working on an iMac. Thanks for reading! Rosko |

Re: Recording DAW playback audio in live video recordings.
Use some form of loop back software like what Rogue Amoeba offers or go the old fashioned way and physically route outputs back into inputs within your DAW.
Aside from being on an iMac, you don’t offer much in the way of your setup, so hard to give suggestions other than vague ones. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
