Just a heads up. As predicted by the rumors sites, today Apple released new Macbook Pros with slightly updated processors, storage options, and graphics cards, with no change in price.

yea almost every store has a 30+ day guarantee, and if the box passes for sealed you can bypass restocking fees.

I don't know for sure, but in the past, people have said that the Apple store (if you got it from there, or their store online) have been pretty good about taking it back and letting you get a new one.

Waht?? what a ripp off, who keeps the box anyways. Sue Apple, stop buying their products.. I just bought one dropped the box in the recycling bin and now i have to pay an other 1400? The hell with it

Apple forgot to charge $300 dollars for the slightly updated version. Oh wait, that's just AVID.

then nope they did charge the 300 more for less.

Just placing the same amount of ram in the macbook brought the price to exactly 400 more than the link I provided you and that's only one link.

That mac still has less hdd, still has less graphic power, still has less maximum ram 8 for the mac vs 16 for the notebook.. need I go more?

Yep, Apple has done that for years. Usually a choice of exchanging the unit or getting a discount refunded back.

Just to make it clear I didn't buy one It was a tongue in the cheek. What I read on the apple forums, is that in 2008 the "grace" period was 14 days. And from other posts in 2011 it seems that 14 days is still the Apple rules. When avid made their announcement for the new release they were already at 20 days in for the grace period.
