removing expired waves demo
I know where my plugs "live" and how to remove them...but the wave shell concept confuses me. Can I simply trash the wave shell and be done with "uninstalling" the expired demos? or is it more complicated? (I've searched DUC/Answerbase/Waves site) thanks

Re: removing expired waves demo
The Waveshell contains all of the Waves plug-ins in one file. It should work to trash it. If you try to reinstall the plugins, you may get the option to uninstall them.

Re: removing expired waves demo
Actually, the waveshell is an alias that points to the folder (somewhere else on your hard drive) that contains the actual plugs. But Cliffy is right, if you remove it from your plugins folder the demos will stop trying to load. And if you don't need them anymore you can delete the Waves folder all together.

Re: removing expired waves demo
thanks for the help. I downloaded the demo of the Platinum bundle(V4) which will expire tomorrow. I've purchased the Masters bundle(V5). I guess the best thing to do is to let the demos expire, remove the V4 demos (Waves folder and Wave Shell) and then start with a clean install of the V5 plugs. thanks again
