Default Why upgrade from ProTools 9 to 10?

Hello dear ProTools-User,

I just tried some guitar recordings with ProTools 9 and my Avid 11R. Everything runs fine. So I am wondering, why should I pay for an upgrade?

I upgraded from 8 to 9 because of the automatic plugin delay compensation. But what is the most important feature of ProTools 10?

Thanks for your help,
Martin

I'd download the demo and try it! For me it has been more solid but it could be different on a different system.

For a user who has a solid PT9 set up its a little harder to justify the cost. I am still on 9 and just got a new mini with ML 10.8.2, so far PT9 runs but I will have to test it out more. In fact I have reason 4 running also, with no errors, but its far to early to tell.

I would say one of the most useful features that temps me is clip-gain, this could be a huge time saver if you do a lot of editing and splice takes together. The enhanced disc handler sounds pleasing if you are running big projects.

Other users could benefit from the improved ADC especially if you run a UAD system.

If PT9 is stable for me I will hold out and try to upgrade to pt11 when it comes out.
