Cthulhu from Xfer Records Coming AAX soon
Steve Duda from Xferrecords has said that the Cthulhu MIDI arpeggiator is being updated in the next couple of months to AAX. The LFO Tool already is. Good news for those of use wanting a good MIDI arpeggiator for PT.

Re: Cthulhu from Xfer Records Coming AAX soon
This brings up a good point.
It's been the traditional wisdom that midi plugins don't exist in PT. But when you think about it they certainly can, IE slate trigger can feed it's output to another midi destination. Bam! midi plugins. Why not also midi compressors expanders etc? Just insert the midi plug first on your VI track and the VI 2nd and if PT automatically piped the midi through, it's all done. They don't have to write any new code etc. I'll be excited to check this out in PT. LFOtool is great, also Steve is very friendly and helpful. |

Re: Cthulhu from Xfer Records Coming AAX soon
I asked a question about Cthulhu in the LFO Tool thread but never got a response.
http://duc.avid.com/showpost.php?p=2108017&postcount=11 Having MIDI plugins in PT is great, but we really need to have the flexibility that Ableton Live has in regards to MIDI plugins, like being able to print the output of said plugin so the chords/arps appear as single notes. |

Yup! Decision made! I'll just wait til it's AAX. Probably Jan by the sound of things! I used the demo in Reaper last night sending the output to a little freebie VST VI I have called Blooo. Man did it sound great!

Cool, can't wait for this! Love LFOTool, but Cthulhu looks really original and useful, there's nothing even vaguely like this for protools at the moment.

No there isn't. And it's not just a basic arp maker either, it's got some pretty nifty controls and options to inspire creativity!

Re: Cthulhu from Xfer Records Coming AAX soon
That's my question too. I'm not sure I understand why there is no MIDI out from a plug in as it seems it would be a pretty basic thing to implement and also be quite useful, as with this plugin, for example.
