Default -9136 Error

CPU usage is holding off USB audio. Remove some plug-ins, delete some tracks, or increase the "H/W Buffer-Size" in the Playback Engine dialogue. (-9136)

CPU on 23% using 2 processors, Disk 4%

This is my 3rd different error in 15 minutes.

Macbook is a month old.
Freshly formatted drives.
4GB ram.
Have defragged Audio Drive again and Updated to PT8 CS3.

Is this because I'm using an Mbox 1???

I've got an Mbox 2 but the lights on it practically burn my eyes out they're so bright and lying flat the knobs are less accessable so I use the Mbox 1 more.

Any ideas - or is this a case of going back to 7.4LE where constant error didn't exist???

I'm using the 'best' Pro Tools' system that I have owned since I started on PT5.1, Audiomedia III on a G4 450mhz years ago

and

now I have the least functioning machine that I have ever had......

I have had these 4 errors continually:

-6105, -9136, -9073, -9512

Have done all the usual things: delete prefs, reboot, defrag, chang ports, update plugs etc.

Have tried both Mbox 1 and Mbox 2 with the same problem.

I can't play for longer that 4 seconds before audio drops out with an error message.

Using 9 tracks 4 plug-ins: Digi Eq, PSP Easy Verb, Massey CT4 and Ozone 4 on the Master

On PT8 cs3, OSX 10.5.6, Macbook 2.0Ghz, 4GB, 7200 Firewire Audio External drive, Mbox 1 & have tried Mbox 2

Any Ideas??

Cheers

"How do you Defrag a Mac"

For the newbies to Mac's there are a few options.

1) To Defrag an external Drive (ie. Firewire Audio drive) use 'Drive Genius' or Techtool Pro.

2) TO Defrag your System drive (Apple say it's not necessary but others disagree): Install a new OSX on anther drive, boot in to that one and then use one of the two above programs to defrag

3) To Defrag you System Drive, install Techtool Pro, create an "E-Drive" using the DVD boot disc and then use the "E-Drive" (an emergency boot up made on a partition of your system drive) to run the defrag program.

These are the options.

Drive Genius also has a 'boot up disc' but it's currently not working properly on Intel Macs contrary to what they say on their website. Also 'iDefrag' is crap.

But it would be nice for someone to post some help for my problem rather than just asking how to do things........
