FMP not working as intended on Atmos tracks?
Why does turning on FMP on a send from a stereo track to an atmos (7.1.2) track only send to the side surrounds and not the front LCR?
Trying to send a stereo track to a 7.1.2 channel and want the tracks to remain in the front LCR speakers, however turning on FMP messes this up. Photo attached. |

Re: FMP not working as intended on Atmos tracks?
This is a general problem in Pro Tools. FMP does not work correctly if the bus width of the send is wider than the channel's main output width. In these cases only the channels present in the main output are being controlled by automation.
I think FMP should be disabled if the send's width is wider than the output but Avid does not see it this way. |
