AAX DSP IR Cab Loader?

True!
I just need some other option over Eleven MKII. But maybe after running a Kemper for the last couple of years I will look in to possible getting an IK Tonex!?
Anyone have any experience with those!? Im not a guitar player, but the guitar players I recorded through the Kemper were quite happy.

The Tonex plugin isn't AAX-DSP. If you mean the hardware box, it seems well-liked. If you're looking at plug-ins, it's also worth checking out the fairly-new open-source Neural Amp Modeler (NAM). It has a pretty good set of community captures already. It's not AAX, but I host it in BlueCat Patchworks.

There are a lot of happy Tone-X users out there. The captures are very usable and the feature set allows you to use IRs if you have a favorite or the cab that was captured with the amp. It can also model distortion pedals, so you can use it in front of an amp if you wish.
If you are talking about the hardware, compared to the Kemper, there are no effects in the Tone-X. You have a compressor and reverb, but no modulation or delay. It does not have XLR outputs and the 1/4 jacks are unbalanced, so something to consider if you are connecting to an interface.
You can use it as a recording interface over USB, but I'm guessing you would not use it this way.
Overall, it is a good alternative to the Kemper if you just need amp sims.

Yeah I meant the Tone-X hardware box. I have plenty of Amp modelers that are AAX-Native. I might just pick up a Tone-X soon.

Yeah I have read some good things about the Tone-X, I just hope the guitar players that I record with will jive with it the way they did with the Kemper. Personally I would prefer some AAX-DSP options but after having used the Kemper I can make due with another hardware box.
