I actually started a similar thread a few days ago, here and on Gearslutz.com, about iTunes causing clicks and pops during playback (either from a cd or library), it's rather annoying. I also have the latest versions of everything, and while I have no problems using Reason and Live with my 002R, it all happens in iTunes. Any kick drum on any given song causes a distorted click/pop, yuk. A couple of peeps on gearslutz have reported the exact same issue. This is on an intel Macbook dual 2.0.

Hopefully the next OSX upgrade will take care of it.

it is not a OS problem, but a core audio plugin problem... it is a pro tools update that is required. And they are aware of it, but still they did not finish it for the CS2 update... lets hope they release it real soon.

What exact version of Logic are you all running? 7.2.1? 7.2.2?

I've just tested this with Logic 7.2.1 on an Intel Mac Mini and did not encounter any problems. We're going to test it with 7.2.2 shortly...

It IS a digi core audio bug. I have had that confirmed many times through e-mail with digidesign. They say there is a fix for the HD version, but not for the LE version yet.

Btw. this is not only a Logic bug, but affects any core audio application (iTunes, QuickTime etc).

Yes STill a DIGICORE BUG!

Saturation , clicks or POPS appears in ITUNES , QUICKTIME , LOGIC when the Level is High ...when I set the Level of Itune at Full , the sound start to CRackle horribly !!! ( and even if the volume is at MAximum , it does not have to crackle)

Ok, it appears this is something happening with 7.2.2 and 7.2.3. We're investigating the cause of the problem...
