Default Anyone used the 7.5m/10m Lindy firewire cables?

I need to get the PC away from the studio room, therefore I need a long firewire cable to get the separation I need.

I know that the max. recommended firewire cable length is 4.5 meters, however Lindy reckon that their design results in longer usable lengths (7.5 and 10 meters) without the need for a hub.

Anyone used these?????
