Thanks.
With my old HD2 Accel System I think I always worked at 256/512 with no hassles.
Huge sessions would be something like 240 tracks but I mixed TDM/RTAS/AAX 32 plug-ins.

Small in track count (24 Stereo Tracks), but CPU heavy, Mastering sessions with 12 native plugins.

Off Topic but I am surprised that a frend of mine that was in Boston area, entered an Apple Store to pick me a MAc Mini a few hours ago and they only had old Intel, 8 GB / 256 2020 MAC Minis and the M1 Ultra!

No M1 MAx neither Mac Mini 512/16GB.

240 is pretty minimal these days.

TDM offers a DSP-based mix engine, so the native sample buffer setting is often ignored. Native systems rely entirely on the native sample buffer. If you are tracking, the difference between TDM and Native @ 512 samples is 0.9ms vs 21ms of latency.

If you are just mixing it won't be much of an issue, either way.

It is a pretty common experience at the moment, and not remotely limited to Apple. Covid has brought about a lot of supply chain issues.

For sure!

So working at 256/512 @ TDM II/ HD Accel OS 10.6.8 would be equal to work with HD Native at 128/ Newer OS?

Thanks for your attention!

Even a 128 sample native buffer is 5.3ms at 48kHz. 5 or 6 times higher than tracking on HD Accel with TDM plugins.

Since Blue interfaces are also HD Digidesign/Avid interfaces, can I connect two directly or do I also need to install/buy Digilink I/O ( only for non HD interfaces, right)?
