ran out of 82 bit tokens error

I am getting this error now whereas I have been using this system for years and never had it before. I am using pt 7.3.1 on macbook running 10.4.9. I have followed the directions in the answerbase and placed the appropriate file in the pt folder, but still get the error. I am also using a faderport using the hui designation.
any help out there?
