Transfuser: Recording in the Drum Pattern Editor

Transfuser Question:
I'm trying to record in the Drum Pattern Editor using my MIDI controller to control the 12 pads instead of drawing in the hits manually. Is this possible? I tried using the record button while the pattern is playing but nothing gets recorded. I can hear the sounds from each pad as I press them but the Drum Pattern Editor doesn't record what I play.

EDIT:
Problem solved: I had Transfuser set to Transfuser Synth instead of Transfuser in the Mix window
