Pro Tools Reinstatement Plan

Hello Guys,

I have a Pro Tools Perpetual License which support and updates expired in June 2020.

Which plan I should buy to keep on getting updates ?

I read that most of the plans sold say on Audiodeluxe are renewal plans if you have a Perpetual license with an ACTIVE Software Updates + Support Plan that's about to expire.

So this wouldn't work I guess .... what should I look for to get latest updates ?

Cheaper "renewal" for active plans, more expensive "reinstatement" for lapsed plans. Avid only sells "renewal", if you need "reinstatement" you need to ask your reseller.

I have no reseller here in Lebanon :) Can you help finding it online ?

I have no idea. Maybe call to US resellers like sweetwater and ask if they approve foreign credit card for payment, as this is only a code and they do not need to ship anything physical

Look at your usual suspects for online who will sell to folks in Lebanon. Thomann Europe? If not then you might need to look for resellers on EBay, be careful, see discussions on DUC about some resellers to trust there.

I think Avid has stopped distributing reinstatement's themselves and to dealers so any perpetual upgrade reinstatement you can find is dealer old-stock and some dealers have run out of those. So potentially you may be out of luck and have to purchase a subscription. And Avid has a perpetual to 2 year discounted subscription crossgrades. There are lots and lots of posts on DUC about this. Ideally find a good online dealer who can help you and stand behind any commitments they make. You should also be able to find that crossgrade on the Avid store. But realize if you do that you are surrendering your perpetual license and switching to subscriptions, and AFAIK losing any legacy Pro Tools 10/11 licensing.

Will try to find something like that since most of online resellers have got the switch to 2 years support Plus surrender your perpetual license ... shame

Check this thread. One of the guys just bought a reinstatement plan. Not sure if that seller has any left still or not though.

Avid has stopped selling the reinstatement plans and the only ones left are from retailers that have excess stock from before January 2020.
