I'll toss in another thumbs up for TL space. I have a whole batch of IR's and recently did a bluegrass project and ONLY used TL space. Masterfonics Stone Room for the band and an EMT plate IR for the vocals. It came out very sweet

Hey guys, am I missing something here or is there a difference in the TDM vs RTAS regarding the option of "small medium large" times. Seems that the TDM is the only one that has these options?

Thanks for all the input to guys!
:)

Hey,

the different small, medium and large settings relate to DSP memory use. If you are using a very short impulse, you can probably get away with the small TL space instantiation. Also if you have a long impulse you need the one with more memory use. There is a limit to the maximum amount of time the impulse can be when instantiated as a TDM plug on the DSP card.

On my system, I just run convolution verbs as an RTAS process - HD can handle the delay comp. The are no max length (ie RAM) requirements running like this, keeping the DSP farm for voices/delaycomp/TDM only plugs etc. This info is probably in a TLspace PDF, it's been years since I read it.
