"MIDI Track" volume automation
Hey guys,
Im still in the midst of learning PT, (I have M-Powered 8) and I have not been able to figure out how to lay down volume automation on a MIDI track. Essentially I have an Instrument track setup, and I have MIDI tracks routed through the different MIDI channels. However, when I change the volume on the MIDI track, it does not affect the volume at all, not allowing me to automate the volume on the individual MIDI tracks. Is there any way that I can accomplish this? |

Re: "MIDI Track" volume automation
You can of coarse automate the VI, or the overall instrument track volume. But my personal favorite is to render MIDI to audio tracks and go from there.

Re: "MIDI Track" volume automation
Tom,
How do you render MIDI into new Audio tracks? That sounds like an interesting idea.

Re: "MIDI Track" volume automation
Also known as printing midi to audio. Create an audio track> set the input to a bus> set the output of the instrument track to that bus> record enable the audio track> record the midi then make the instrument inactive to save dsp.
