Default Can\'t figure how to fade track

I have a silly question. I have the region selected on my track, when I go into Edit - Fades, all of the options are greyed out. Can someone help?

Default Re: Can\'t figure how to fade track

dont select a region. Just use the i-beam and click on the point where you want a fade to start or end, and then select the appropiate from the menu. Or select a piece of 2 adjecent regions to perform a crossfade with the ibam, and press ctrl-f
