Default Pro Tools MP 7.4.2 hanging on "Locaating Audio Files"

This just started happening to me. It only happens in the following circumstance:

1. I open Pro Tools MP 7.4.2
2. I open a Session
3. Close session
4. Try to open another

Locating Audio Files. And the system hangs. It never hangs on the first one. Then I have to Force Quit because PTMP stops responding. I've tried trashing the prefs and database files, and a different firewire cable. This just started happening. I don't think anything changed since it was working fine recently. It's on my home system which is listed in my signature.

(I also posted this to a similar thread under Pro Tools HD, but since it's an MP issue, I wanted to post it here too.)

So I take it by the lack of responses, no else has this problem, and Digi's never seen it?

If you want a guaranteed response from us, you need to submit a support request via the Tech Support Request Form, per the instructions in the Help Us Help You sticky at the top of every forum.

Now, as far as your problem goes - I'm assuming this is occurring with your home system, yes? Have you tried moving a couple sessions to the internal drive, disconnecting the FW drive and testing again? It may be a problem with that FW drive.

Also, how do you have it and the ProjectMix connected to the computer, exactly? Have you done any other troubleshooting besides trashing prefs and databases?

Will do in the future. Thanks for the heads up.

I'll try in the internal drive idea. I've swapped out some cables, and gone through the general troubleshooting sticky as well.

My configuration is as follows:
iMac > FW Drive > PMIO. I'll have to check on the 800/400 stuff to see where I have them actually connected.
