ERROR 0xc0000005 Please help
I have encountered a serious problem this afternoon, while trying to access PT I am getting an error message:
(The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click OK to terminate the application. ) I looked at the answer base and tried the only option given but it didn't work. I have also tried uninstalling and re installing PT 7.1 but I keep getting the same error message. The other thing I am getting while trying to uninstall is: (The following files did not self- register or unregister: C:\program files\Digidesign\ pro tools\ DigiMIDIServices.dll invalid access to memory location.) If you guys can help me fix this problem urgently I would be very greatful, I am working to a very tight deadline and I can't really afford the downtime. I am running 002 Rack with PT 7.1 on Windows XP. The System is a Dual core 3.4 with 2 gb ram |

Re: ERROR 0xc0000005 Please help
That error usually occurs when a program tries to access an object or window which doesn't exist. I'd suggest first removing all 3rd party plug-ins and see if that fixes the issue. If it doesn't, reinstall Pro Tools.
