Oh that's probably the only major issue that I've had with PT, wireless card can cause a lot of slow downs or cpu usage spikes. D-link and linksys cards are the worst I've found for that. So unplugging your wireless, and disabling the card is a must.. really.
Are you using this computer exclusively for music production? If not, I strongly suggest you do a dual boot. One boot with only what you need for PT and music production, nothing else, don't even enable your wireless on start up. The other for your personal use. This way your sure that you won't have bugs that creeps up from updates and other stuff, since your music production boot up wont be able to connect to the net. And since it will only have what you need for music prod, you wont get third party software/drivers getting in conflict with |
