LE 8.0.3 installation failure

here is my setup

- MBpro i7 2.66
- 8 gig ram
- 500 Gig 7200
- Snow Leopard 10.6.4

im running an MBOX PRO 2 on a PC with protools 8 originally. got the mac, trying to install full installer 8.0.3 clean on my machine so i can upgrade to 8.0.4. when goin thru the install, I get the installation failure error "following installation step failed : run pre-flight script for
Plug-In Updates. Contact software manufacturer for assistance." this may be a simple problem to fix, but ive exhausted all possibilities. if someone can help me id appreciate it. ive looked thru the threads to see if there have been similar problems, and i still cant find a solution. Please help.

delete all of your present installation of PT.

Log in to your administrators account. If you have more than one Admin account, use the one you created first.

Try to re-install.

realized i was trying to install as an admin but as in "root". works fine now for anyone who cares. sorry!
