Default Need help with 192 i/o AES connections

I recently obtained a Digidesign 192 i/o. I have a DB-25 4 AES male/4 AES female snake. I have ran the db-25 cable out of the 25 pin AES slot on the back of the 192 into my AES ins and outs of digital outboard gear, e.g., Eclispe, Spx 2000, tc electronic reverb. I have ran a DNC T confirgured cable from wordclock out of the 192 into the wordclock ins of the digital gear and adjusted the clock settings and digitial in settings on the outboard gear.

I am trying to access the digitial gear as inserts in aux tracks. I get no signal returning to the aux tracks. I know I have made some mistake with the connections and/or hardware setup in Pro Tools or the 192. I just don't know what it is. Can anybody help? Thanks.

Go to Hardware Setup and make sure that AES is selected in the "Digital" tab and then set up the "Main" tab so that your AES connections come up in the correct places.

HTH.

Thanks. I did this and it still will not receive a signal from the external boxes.

I haven't used hardware inserts before, but you should check your I/O Setup to make sure everything is routed correctly.
