MIDISPORT 8x8 crashing regularly
First post on this forum, so please be nice to me! I've recently upgraded from DIGI001 to 002, but I'm now having huge problems with my MIDISPORT 8x8 USB interface. It's an old one with the white, green and blue front, but at the manufacturers suggestion I recently inserted new firmware upgrade chips and downloaded the correct driver for OSX Tiger. However that doesn't seem to help as when I use the unit with PT 7.1 it crashes about every 10 minutes without fail.
Basically all the MIDI just stops working and the MIDI tracks on screen become "greyed out". The only way to reset things is to switch the Midisport off and on again and then hold in the MIDI reset button for a few seconds. However as the unit crashes so regularly this is becoming incredibly annoying! Any ideas, or should I be looking for a new MIDI interface? |
