NI Kompakt & PT LE (multi out problem)

Using one instance of Kompakt 1.0.2 (inserted on a stereo aux track in Protools LE 6.2.2, how do I route each individual stereo bus output from Kompakt (1+2, 3+4, 5+6, 7+8) to a desiginated stereo audio track in PT?

I understand the concept... Kompakt aux track in PT-> assign that PT track to a bus output-> create a stereo audio track in PT->assign the input of that track as bus 1-2. This I don't have a problem with.

So using that same instance of Kompakt, how do I get the remaining stereo bus outs of Kompakt (3+4, 5+6, 7+8), routed to different stereo audio tracks in PT?

I've actually been wondering the same thing about Kontakt. I'm not sure it is possible in RTAS? But I'm not sure. You might try to contact NI as I have but it's been months and I never heard back from them. Also you can check out the NI user forum, lot's of helpful stuff there, but I seem to remember reading that it wasn't possible at least with Kontakt.

Short: YOU CAN`T!

RTAS is Stereo only! if you want more outputs you must use more instances.

I already suggested ReWire in the NI forums but NI doesn´t seem to keen about it, I was told.

So, is Kompakt actually now a feasible way to have gigasample libraries playing within PTLE/OSX (RTAS), incorporating Direct-to-Disk for those super-long samples? Is anyone using this successfully in this way?

I saw a handful of compaint posts at NI's site specifically about streaming and OSX. Anyone able to use Direct-From-Disk with ProTools?

Yes, I saw that on their website - and I definitely understand that *in theory* it is supposed to work. Unfortunately the gap between what is supposed to work and does work can be a chasm sometimes. I just wanted the word from "the street" to hear even one person say "yeah, I'm on PTLE6 and I am able to stream large sample libraries like Giga".

Anyone (else) who has been brave with almost wonderful world of streaming soft-samplers?
