Avid Control Assign button missing

Hello,
In the Control app on the iPad, the assign button to assign tracks to layouts is gone, I only see the Select button. Am I missing something here?
Avid control Version 2023.6.0.215 with Pro Tools 2023.6.0

The assign button will only show up when you are in SELECT mode. It disappears when you are in INPUT/RECORD/SOLO/MUTE.
