Changing BPM for MIDI w/Incorrect Tempo
Hi.
I created MIDI tracks in the incorrect BPM. This is what I did: I created a new session and left it at its default BMP (120). Then I imported audio that was created in another session at 84 BPM. Then I wrote MIDI tracks that synced with the audio. When I tried to export the MIDI to Sibelius (notation software), the rhythm was nonsensical. So, is it possible for me to change the MIDI to 84 BPM and still have it sync with the original audio at 84 BPM? Thanks for you help. |

Re: Changing BPM for MIDI w/Incorrect Tempo
According to your session description that MIDI should be played back at a tempo of 85 BPM given you synced the MIDI to the imported Audio that had a tempo of 85 BPM. If this is so, you need to change the MIDI track's Timebase to Samples, making sure that the Audio track's Timebase is also at Samples, then simply change the tempo to 85 BPM. This will align the Timeline (Grid) to the MIDI and audio tracks. However this will not Quantize the MIDI.
